HORSES FOR SALE

Wink is a bit of an independent thinker, strong
willed, very curious and could possibly excel in a solo situation. |
||||||
|
"WINK" $200 "Joy" was bought at an auction when she was pregnant with
this palomino colt we've named, "Wink." After much
back-tracking, we were able to locate the seller of this mare and
learned her story. It seems that when her mother's owners took her
mom, they left Joy behind. Her mom was a registered Quarter Horse, so
the owners tried to register Joy, but her mom died before the DNA
could be collected. Joy, although purebred, could not be registered.
Because she was never broke to ride, the ranch owners decided to breed
her to a registered Palomino stallion with Freckles lines, and send her
to the sale, hoping someone would buy her. That someone was us! This mare is a sweet one and her colt is a handsome palomino.
He will not be eligible for registration, but as a gelding should make a
great saddle horse. He looks like a great cow-horse prospect, very
correct. He is quick and alert, just looking for a cow to work or
a trail to ride. |

Dillon is very curious and wants to be friendly with people. This guy needs some special attention and would more than likely excel in as a single horse or in a very small herd of 2 or 3 horses. He feeds off other horses' energy and movements and can be very jumpy. With his dam being a Morgan cross, it's possible he has that type of energy. Built really nice, extra bone, not heavy bodied but strong, very refined. Would probably make a wonderful English prospect. $250.00 halter broke only. |
||||||
|
"DILLON" $250 Halter Broken, great project horse. This is a sturdy, cute looking western style horse. He could
possibly be punching little Doggies all day or showing off at the local
county fair. Friendly, he is one of the first colts to approach us in the
pen, wants to noticed, should make a great companion for anyone wanting
a nice, solid, sturdy, horse pal. |

"CLEAR CREEK'S CHANDOR" $2,500 This colt is broke to ride! He is a great mover, a big traveler, and is over 16.0 hands high! He has a large white star and a very classic Warmblood look. He has a great presence and style. Dressage or cross country could be his game. Would also be a wonderful trail horse. Looks like a Percheron. The Percheron colts can be a bit warmer in temperament than the other draft breeds, but the edge it gives them is a winning one! |

SIRES,
for Reference Only
|
||||||
|
|
"BATTLE RIVER BRETT" He tends to pass on a bit warmer temperament. His offspring can be a
bit more challenging at first, but after you work with them they are
very intelligent and willing to work. Most have shown the ability to
jump anything and everything. His foals can trot a trot that at times
they appear to be floating in air, great suspension! For a tall stallion the size of the foals still seems to be
determined by the dam. He has several 15.2 hands crosses on the ground,
although when crossed with a taller mare the size does come through. His
get are in the class we affectionately deemed "Talented and
Gifted". |
|||||
|
|
"KING" We suspect a smidgen of Percheron in this stallion, but are not sure
what type of draft breed he really has in his background. He is not homozygous for color, but when color does show up, they are
usually marked with minimal white ( unless the mare is colored) and have
the polka dotted white lower legs with black feet. He does pass on good feet and long legs, and throws sporty, stylish
foals, regardless of color. He has a medium disposition; the mare's influence usually
overrides his. Sadly, King is now deceased. His last foal crop was born in 2006. |
|||||
|
|
"PALO" This sire has a very nice attitude. very gentle, very sweet and kind!
His foals tend to have nice dispositions. He passes on beautiful conformation, time after time. When crossed
with the plainest mare he will throw nice, refined heads, good legs, and
lots of palomino color. A ranch favorite are his Palomino/Belgian Cross foals! They are so sweet and easy they make us all look good. Most of his foals are what we call the ideal "Versatile Horse," as steady as they are sturdy. In the past we have not sold his colts, because they are so
desirable in our operation. This year, we have more of his foals
than usual, and are able to offer some of them for sale. |
|||||
|
|
"CLEAR CREEK'S BOBBIE" The Percheron breed horses can be a bit tougher to start the than the
Clydesdale, Belgian, Suffolk, or Fjords. They are very intelligent and
upon maturity, tend to be sweet and calm. However, the first two years
can be a bit more difficult. Clear Creek's Bobbie produced strong, big boned foals. His
foals show a tendency to inherit his extra size. However, they are
very slow to mature, and many of his foals really sprout up in their
third year. They are a nice smaller birth size for the smaller mares but
they do tend to keep growing! Average height on his foals is 15.3 hands
to 16.2 when crossed with a smaller mare. He had great, strong, black
feet. Bobbie passed away quickly and quietly this summer -so this is his
last foal crop, he was 18 years old. We were glad he had a chance to be
with us for his final days instead of a feedlot in Canada. |
|||||
|
|
"SUMMER ICE" Nice, calm, quiet, gentle, friendly disposition! We have walked out into his band of mares, haltered him and led him back to the barn away from his mares and he has been a perfect gentleman. A gentleman with his mares, too. His get seem to be calm and quiet, and make nice saddle horses. Summer tends to throw a lot of roan color into his paint foals.
