Foaled in 2006

We have new photos and pricing for these youngsters!

Orvevada has an interesting personality, he is sort of indifferent and aloof. He is not jumpy, reactive, or wild. It will take a special type of person to connect with him. He has good potential as a strongly built trail or ranch horse and at 15.2 hands high, is a nice size for most riders. He is halter broke, but needs a lot of ground work and to be started. We'd like to see him in a nice home, connecting with someone and learning new things that will increase his usefulness.

"OREVADA"
Quarter Horse/Spotted Draft Cross
Grullo and White Pinto Gelding
$200, halter broke

Western, English, Trail, Ranch, Dressage, Eventing Prospect

A loud colored guy that can really strut his stuff! He has fluid movement with a nice way of traveling. Orevada is smart and willing.

He will have good bone and be talented enough to go in any direction.

This is an exceptional, unique horse!

Sire: "KING" Spotted Draft

Dam: "TRINITY," Quarter Horse
Red Dun and White, 14.3 hands

Clipper is a flashy looking gelding! His tall stockings and big blaze are eye-catching, as well as his flaxen chestnut coloring. He has big, flashy movement too! He is very curious and willing to learn, but also is a bit edgy, reactive, spirited, but not wild. His dam's Morgan breeding seems to come through in her foals. He would make a wonderful English prospect because of his energy, movement, and ability to light up. He could be a great western horse too, especially if you like some "go" in your mounts. He will do best with a patient, experienced handler. He has had training inside an indoor arena and outdoors and has been trailered.

"CLIPPER"
Morgan/Clydesdale/Quarter Horse
Cross Gelding
Chestnut and White, tall stockings, big blaze, some sabino traits
$500, halter broke, some ground work, trailers

English, Western, Trail, Dressage, Hunter-Jumper, Ranch Prospect

Clipper is a very fancy beautiful mover! He will grow up to be a great traveling horse that can cover he ground with a long stride. His stride is stylish and allows him to float through the air.  He is amazing!

He is smart and easy to teach, and has much natural talent.  Even the Ranch, "cowboys," find him special!

Sire: "BIG ROANIE"

Dam: "MORGAN," a Morgan Cross
Bay, 15.2 hands high

LARAMIE
Quarter Horse Filly
Dappled Chestnut with matching white hind stockings
$250 without training, $350 if we start her

This is a real flashy moving gal! She could probably do dressage, jumping, western, trail, you name it, I think she can do it.  She is very curious, but a bit more timid in the herd, tends to be on the bottom of the pecking order. She might be happiest in a small herd or as a single horse. She is a great candidate for natural horsemanship.
Natural horsemanship candidate.

Sire: SUMMER ICE

Dam: OLIVE, #686
Clydesdale Cross, Black

"JUNO"
Quarter Horse Gelding
Bay with star and socks
$500, halter broke

Western, Ranch, Trail, English Prospect

Juno is a nice bay gelding who enjoys human attention. He is a slender horse, but with a bit of extra bone. He does best when removed from the herd, and then he will try very hard to concentrate on what you want.  He should make a great-traveling trail, ranch, or cross country type of horse.  He could go either Western or English.

October 2008

Sire: Quarter Horse Stallion

"GARCIA"
Purebred Quarter Horse
Bay Roan Colt
$350, halter broke

English, Western, Ranch, Trail Prospect

He is a purebred Quarter Horse, but is not registered.

Sire: Sorrel Quarter Horse
Sorry, no photo available for this horse.

Dam: GELATO
Bay Roan Quarter Horse

Garcia is nice, quiet gelding who is a bit shy. He would make a great project for a western style horse.  He could work cattle or ride the hills, he is built to have a bit more endurance than the average Quarter Horse.  He has been halter trained only and is being marketed as a project horse. This is the wonderful blank slate you might be looking for, and his roan color is a beautiful plus!

"BOSALITA"
Purebred Quarter Horse Filly
Red Dun with blaze and tall hinds
$350, halter broke

Bosalita would make a great western riding horse prospect! She could help you gather cattle, ride the trails, and maybe could possibly go into team penning, sorting and other jobs or sports.  She is a very nice mare with a quiet, easy-going personality. This will make a nice project mare and is halter broke.

Sire: "DOCS PEOPLENA SAN,"
Reg. Dun Quarter Horse

Dam: "ROSALITA"
QH, Flaxen Chestnut Roan with White

"FLY"
Purebred Paint Filly
Bay and White
$400, halter broke

Fly was bred and built to travel the desert, covering large areas of ground for long periods of time.  She is quiet and curious.

Fly is a three year old filly that was sired by a registered Quarter Horse  stallion and a purebred Paint mare. We do know that the dam was purebred, but they never bothered with the paperwork to register her.

She is halter broke and and ready to be started. She has been trailered several times with no problems.

Sire: "SONOMA'S DINNER FLIGHT"
Registered Quarter Horse
Sorry, no photo

Mare: "SHO FLYAWAY"
Tri-color Paint
Sorry, no photo

MAUI
Quarter Horse/Draft Cross
Bay and White
$250 untrained

Hot! Hot! Hot! This filly has attitude, fancy movement, and is beautiful! She likes to come up to you for attention, but if the group gets agitated, she will be the first to lead everyone off to the races. If she were isolated from a herd for awhile, she would come around quickly.

Jump! Jump! Jump! She loves to jump and can jump almost anything. We stopped her with our 6' tall panels, but she gave it a good try. Has been trailered and handled in the chutes with gentle kindness.

Needs a home with an experienced handler who has lots of energy and patience and a good round pen. She needs a job to do!  If you want a hunter-jumper prospect that has a work ethic and high energy, you will love this one!

Mars is a horse with Western attributes, and he will be a great horse for getting a job done, or traveling along mountain trails.

His parents both have nice dispositions. They are both calm, gentle and friendly.

He has a large attitude in an average sized body!

SIRES

"BIG ROANIE"
Sabino Clydesdale/Paint Cross
17.0 hands high

We have just started using this stallion so we do not have a lot of foals to judge him by. So far, they have been large, sweet, calm babies.

They have good conformation and very nice looking heads.

He tends to throw  foals with lots of chrome and unusual color patterns and shades.

The past few have shown nice action for dressage and a willingness to jump. They are also intelligent and willing to learn.

"BATTLE RIVER BRETT" Reg. #M32034
Black and White Clydesdale
17.0 hands high

He tends to pass on a bit "warmer" temperament. His offspring can be a bit more challenging at first, but after you work with them they are very intelligent and willing to work.

His foals have such a lovely trot that at times they appear to be floating in air, they have great suspension!  Most have shown the ability to jump anything and everything.

For such a tall stallion, the size of the foals still seems to be determined by the dam. He has several 15.2 hands crosses on the ground, although when crossed with a taller mare the size does come through.

His get are in the class we affectionately deemed "Talented and Gifted."

"ERNIE"
Spotted Draft
Black and White
16.0 hands high

Grade Paint/Percheron Cross.

This guy is handsome, sweet, and easy to catch.

We have so few foals on the ground by him right now it is hard to determine what he will pass on just yet.

Most have sold and we are waiting to hear from the new owners.

"DOCS PEPOLENA SAN"
1994 Red Dun Quarter Horse
AQHA #3303219
Doc O'Lena, Doc Bar, Three Bars, Poco Bueno, Leo, Star Deck, Joe Reed II, King

His foals show lots of ability to work cattle and do ranch work. Sit deep in your seat for a fast turn and sliding stop! These colts are quick and not for sissies!

His  foals are best suited for experienced riders with a western background.

They are intelligent, quick to mature and quick to learn!

"SKEDADDLE RED"
Chestnut Roan Quarter Horse

Has same bloodlines as Skedaddle N Sparks, which includes Three Chicks, Peppy, Joe Hancock, and Cowboy. He is bred for cow work and is very quick. He was sold because he was not a good citizen in our stud herd. The other boys get along together fine, but he was too aggressive. His foals are not aggressive foals; this was just a stud that wanted all the gals to himself!

"ROSE HILL ROBBIE"
Canadian Belgian Horse Assoc.  #29463
Flaxen Light Chestnut
16.0 hands high

He has a sweet, gentle disposition and  tends to pass this on in his foals. Many of our best trail riding horses are of the Belgian cross. They tend to be calmer foals, easier to start, with a slight tendency to be stubborn their first year. The coolest of all our draft crosses, they make wonderful riding as well as driving horses. When crossed with the right mare, a nice dressage or jumper can be the result. Great strong feet!

"PALO"
Purebred Grade Quarter Horse
15.0 hands high
~DECEASED~

This sire has a very nice attitude. very gentle, very sweet and kind! His foals tend to have nice dispositions.  He passes on beautiful conformation, time after time. When crossed with the plainest mare he will throw nice, refined heads, good legs, and lots of palomino color.

A ranch favorite are his Palomino/Belgian Cross foals! They are so sweet and easy they make us all look good. Most of his foals are what we call the ideal "Versatile Horse," as steady as they are sturdy. In the past we have not sold his colts, because they are so desirable in our operation.  This year, we have more of his foals than usual, and are able to offer some of them for sale.

"SUMMER ICE" APHA #339,267
1996 Black Tobiano
15.0 hands high
~SOLD~

Nice, calm, quiet, gentle, friendly disposition! I have walked out into his band of mares, haltered him and lead him back to the barn away from his mares and his has been a perfect gentleman. A gentleman with his mares, too.

His get seem to be calm and quiet, and make nice saddle horses.

Summer tends to throw a lot of roan color into his paint foals.

"KING"
Percheron/Paint Cross
Black and White
16.0 hands high
~DECEASED, August 2006~

We suspect a smidgen of Percheron in this stallion, but are not sure what type of draft breed he really has in his background. He is a smaller, lighter draft type, with Quarter Horse in his background.

He is not homozygous for color, but when color does show up, they are usually marked with minimal white (unless the mare is colored) and have the polka dotted white lower legs with black feet. He does pass on good feet and long legs, and throws sporty, stylish foals, regardless of color.

He has a medium disposition; the mare's influence usually overrides his.
