Started Under Saddle

WELLINGTON
Quarter Horse/Belgian Cross
Sorrel and White

This colt  has lots of potential for tail or the arena. This cross is a very good one for trails.

He is now under saddle and working for us on the cattle ranch and guest trail rides.!

This is a very nice, quiet, all around horse! Would be great for either Western or English.

Sire: "ROSE HILL ROBBIE"

Dam: #754, "HACIENDA"
Quarter Horse, Bay with star

CARDINAL $1,200

Suffolk Punch/Quarter Horse Cross
Chestnut with small star and snip

Even though Cardinal is a draft cross, he is not a big bodied horse. He has the, nice extra bone but is more standard in size and more refined than most of our crosses. He is great on the trails, goes through water, over bridges, wherever we point him, he'll go.  He has been used as a trail guide horse at our guest ranch, but out-walks most of the guest horses and gets a bit impatient waiting for them to catch up.  This is a great trail horse, possible endurance, and he is a good horse to go gather cattle on, so he'd be a good ranch horse. The Suffolk crosses are hard to come by, they are on the rare side. Suffolk Punch horses are well-known for their gentle and willing dispositions.

Sire: "VERN"

Dam: #750, "PHOEBE"
Quarter Horse Sorrel
15.0 hands high

HARRISON FJORD $3,000

Dun and White Gelding
Fjord/Paint/Quarter Horse Cross
Trained to ride!

Harrison is going well as a trail ride guide horse at for the guest ranch.  He is very willing and does water crossings, bridges, and so on.  He is energetic and very responsive and would be good for an intermediate to advanced rider. He is still a young horse. At 15.2 hands, this is a very stout gelding, but not too tall.

Sire: "OSWALD"

Dam: #712
Quarter Horse/Paint Cross
Black and White

CLEAR CREEK'S CHANDOR  $2,500

Percheron/Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred Cross Gelding, Dark Grey with Star

Chandor is a big  gelding at 16.2 hands. This guy is very responsive and willing.  He is currently one of the favorite trail ride guide horses at the guest ranch.  Young, but rock steady, he can be nervous when encountering  something new the first time, but once familiar, the second time is a breeze. He will need an intermediate to advanced rider because he is green. He could possibly jump, but is one fantastic trail horse.

Sire: "CLEAR CREEK'S BOBBIE"
Grey Reg. Percheron, 16.0 hands high

Dam: Mare #825, "BAYBERRY,"
Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred Cross
Bay, 16.0 hands high

Located in the Albany, Oregon area, these two mares are not from the Sisters, Oregon ranch that offers the Versatile Horses.
Contact Jery Good at jdgoodhaven@gmail.com for more information or to see either mare.
If interested, I can email photos of their parents. There is an application process and references will be checked.

"MERCY"
2003 Dappled Seal Brown
Quarter Horse/Clydesdale Cross, 15.0 hands high
$2500 or offer

She loves to work! Has been started over small jumps and loves to be ridden frequently. She was professionally trained in classical English in 2007, has been through Parelli Level I,  and is still green, needs some miles put on and ready to be finished.

Would be great prospect for  trail, hunter-jumper, youth horse, ladies horse, or possibly for endurance. In time, she could become a great kid's horse.

She is stout and sturdy with super strong feet that self-trim for the most part. She needs an experienced, confident  handler/rider, not suited for beginners. Mercy is playful and loves water. UTD on shots, worming.

"CALLIE"
2003 Sorrel with Blanket and Blaze
Quarter Horse/Appaloosa Cross Mare, 15.2 hands high
$3500 or offer

This mare  has a sweet disposition and loves to please and get attention. She went through Parelli Level I and also had professional English training. She was started over small jump.

Her thing is cows! She loves them! She might make a good team-penner. For sure, she would be a great trail mount. We have had kids ride her, but she is green, so is not a beginning kids' horse yet...in time, she certainly could be.

She could use an intermediate to experienced handler/rider, only because she is green and needs someone experienced to finish her. A beginner with a trainer helping would work with this mare, too. UTD on shots, worming.

A herd scene at Black Butte Ranch in October 2008. Some of these are for sale, but others are sold or for use in our trail strings.
