New pictures, new prices, new information! Take a look through the site and see what's new!
The "Versatile Horses" we breed are wonderful for trail riding, ranch work, or any of the English disciplines. Some work well for families, 4H, Pony Club, or in therapeutic riding programs. We produce a wide variety of types. Even though they may have different builds and temperaments, the one thing they have in common is that they tend to be versatile, steady, and sturdy!
For years, we have used this type of horse in our trail strings. They can carry a wide variety of people easily, even bigger riders. Because of the draft blood, these horses often have calm, gentle dispositions, good bone, and strong hooves. They have all that it takes to be superb trail horses.
Every year we retire some of our trail string and need replacement horses. We used to bring our stock of Versatile Horses down from Alberta, Canada, but our source there has dried up. Now we produce our own. Each year we have a small selection of very special horses available to the public. Each of our mares is a rescued broodmare. Most would not have survived except that they found our ranch and are now able to help us produce our extraordinary horses. We are not a nonprofit horse rescue, but we have rescued some horses from auction and have taken in a few from other rescues, when they are too rank to rehabilitate and just need to live on the range and be horses.
We have almost every color you can imagine! If you have always dreamed of owning a palomino, pinto, dun, roan, appaloosa, or grullo, we may have your dream horse here! We also have plenty of beautiful sorrels, chestnuts, blacks, and bays too! Anything you like, we are probably going to have it here.
Most of our horses are crosses of light and draft, although we do have a few pure Quarter Horses each season. These crosses are not cookie cutter horses that all look alike or have a certain type of temperament. Some of our Clydesdale crosses are full of spirit and make talented jumpers! Some of the draft crosses are heavy and big boned, while some are light and refined. It all depends on the roll of the dice! We truly have any "look" you like.
