All this and brains too,
Prada is a 2020 AQHA bay mare. We started her sire as a 2yo- many of our longterm followers will remember the big, goofy, handsome bay stallion Snip. <3
Snip was shown in ranch versatility and has now become a jam-up rope horse!
Prada certainly has her sire's silly playfulness, and a little bit of diva inherited from BOTH her sire and her dam. She's got her mama's fancy footwork- a jog and downward transitions to die for- and her sire's gritty ranch horse blood.
She is a honey badger when she's working- point her at what she needs to do and she'll do it until the cows come home. She's brave on the trail and will track a cow all day long- even if she's just pastured with them and you aren't riding her.
She is an attentive Liberty horse.
The lay down is currently her favorite maneuver.
Broke to dragging objects, ropes, flags, bridges, and obstacles.
She enjoys long naps in the sun and will wallow all over a patch of sandburs without a care.
Prefers to chill but will move out if encouraged.
She is hesitant to back out of a trailer, but with consistent confidence building she's getting much more comfortable with it. As a 2yo, she got a bad case of ticks in her ears and after a bit of time off sometimes has PTSD from that when it comes to bridling. She's never been belligerent about any of it, just cautious at first.
She does carry 1 copy of PSSM1, so does her sire. NEITHER have been symptomatic to date. PSSM1 is incredibly manageable if symptoms ever do occur bu feeding a low-sugar diet.
She does have 1 superficial scar on her left, hind fetlock from sticking her leg where it didn't belong as a foal. It's been looked at by our vet (who is Prada's breeder) and it is superficial.
Much like her sire, she as a tendency to stick her nose where it doesn't belong- I've pulled A LOT of cactus spines out of her nose.
She is a jack-of-all-trades and is well on her way to continuing to grow up into a solid citizen. She is still only 4 years old, but with continued work she's going to make a superstar of a fun little ranch, liberty, and trail horse.
14.2 hands and built like a little brick house. Currently barefoot, with tough little feet. She stands tied all day, broke to hobbles.
We've found that horses in her bloodline are a bit slower to mature mentally, but age like a fine wine.
She is here in Nocona, Texas and she is priced firm at $7,500.00
Come meet her, take her for a spin, and see if she's the one for you.
