MERCY
May 22, 2007
Mercy was foaled May 10, 2003
on a PMU farm in Manitoba Canada.
Mercy's sire was a purebred, dark chestnut Quarter Horse. Her dam was a spiffy looking bay and white
Thoroughbred/Clydesdale Cross mare.
She is
very talented and could go almost any direction.
Mercy is dark, seal brown with a star, roany snip, and left rear pastern. She is currently about 15 hands high. Her movement is smart and pretty. Her feet are wonderfully strong, hard, and healthy. Her feet are so strong that she is a great candidate for barefoot care. She is sound and healthy.
She is like a large pony with a big personality. She loves to play and has a sense of humor. She wades into any water, even if it happens to be a water trough. She likes to jump a drainage ditch that runs through the pasture, and at the age of 10 months, easily jumped a 3' tall fence from a standing start. She is curious, very smart, and she learns quickly. Mercy is very competitive and loves to win. When the horses are racing each other in the pasture, she will pour on the speed to win!
She has been started in a snaffle with English saddle and is doing very well! She has a wonderful, Thoroughbred type of attitude and disposition and this girl loves to work! When she is working, she is all business! She is a very fun horse to ride and is very responsive. She is great with her feet and for the farrier. Mercy is fine with bathing, she has been trailered, and has been exposed to clippers.
We are not in a hurry to find her just any home. We want this special mare to go to a special home. She is currently in training with a professional trainer, and will be learning to trail ride, jump, and be a steady, safe mount for an intermediate to experienced rider. This would be a dynamite horse for someone who wants a horse to get up and go on, and she would make a wonderful partner for Pony Club or 4H, assuming the rider has experience.
We are asking $3,000 for her. Price will increase as her training progresses.
Please contact Jeryl Good at Goodhaven@opusnet.com or 503.397.1346; Mercy is located near Portland, Oregon.
