"NONSUCH HONEY'S WILLOUGHBY"
1999 Registered Shire, Bay and White
American Shire Horse Assn. #22860-S

We call this guy, "Willow." The 2009 foal crop is our first experience with this sire, although in the past he has sired foals that are really nice and quiet.

He has a quiet and easy going attitude, so we are hoping he passes this on to our foals here.

  "BATTLE RIVER BRETT"
Reg. #M32034
Black and White Clydesdale
17.0 hands

He tends to pass on a bit "warmer" temperament. His offspring can be a bit more challenging at first, but after you work with them they are very intelligent and willing to work. Most have shown the ability to jump anything and everything. His foals can trot a trot that at times they appear to be floating in air, great suspension!

For a tall stallion the size of the foals still seems to be determined by the dam. He has several 15.2 hands crosses on the ground, although when crossed with a taller mare the size does come through. His get are in the class we affectionately deemed "Talented and Gifted."

"ROSE HILL ROBBIE"
Canadian Belgian Horse Assoc.  #29463
Flaxen Chestnut
16.0 hands high

He has a sweet, gentle disposition and  tends to pass this on in his foals. Many of our best trail riding horses are of the Belgian cross. They tend to be calmer foals, easier to start, with a slight tendency to be stubborn their first year.

The coolest of all our draft crosses, they make wonderful riding as well as driving horses. When crossed with the right mare, a nice dressage or jumper can be the result. Great strong feet!

"DOCS PEPOLENA SAN"
1994 Red Dun Quarter Horse
AQHA #3303219

Doc O'Lena, Doc Bar, Three Bars, Poco Bueno, Leo, Star Deck, Joe Reed II, King are some of his famous ancestors.

His foals show lots of ability to work cattle and do ranch work. Sit deep in your seat for a fast turn and sliding stop! These colts are quick and not for sissies!

His  foals are best suited for experienced riders with a western background.

They are intelligent, quick to mature, and quick to learn!

"NORTHERN DANCER"
Quarter Horse with some Thoroughbred in his bloodlines.
Sorrel and White

He has a nice disposition. We call him our "Sportster" because he throws sporty foals, lots of dressage and eventing prospects are on the ground from him. He adds refinement and extra movement to our large mares. When crossed with the smaller mares they have shown to be quick and very athletic also - smart and willing, and not for the faint hearted.

"ERNIE"
Spotted Draft; Grade Paint/Percheron/Clydesdale Cross
Black and White
16.0 hands high

This guy is handsome, sweet, and easy to catch.

He has a gentle, sweet disposition, a really great horse.

We have had some foal crops by him now, and have found them to be very nice. His foals are very willing with sweet dispositions, also.

He is a fabulous stallion.

"BIG ROANIE"
Sabino Clydesdale/Paint Cross
17.0 hands high
~DECEASED~

His foals have been large, sweet, calm babies.

They have good conformation and very nice looking heads. He tends to throw  foals with lots of chrome and unusual color patterns and shades.

The past few have shown nice action for dressage and a willingness to jump. They are also intelligent and willing to learn.

"KING"
Spotted/Draft Cross, probably Percheron/Paint Cross
Black and White, 16.0 hands high
~DECEASED~

We suspect a smidgen of Percheron in this stallion, but are not sure what type of draft breed he really has in his background.

He is not homozygous for color, but when color does show up, they are usually marked with minimal white ( unless the mare is colored) and have the polka dotted white lower legs with black feet.

He does pass on good feet and long legs, and throws sporty, stylish foals, regardless of color.

He has a medium disposition; the mare's influence usually overrides his.

Sadly, King is now deceased. His last foal crop was born in 2006.

"CLEAR CREEK'S BOBBIE"
1987 Grey Percheron, 16.0 hands high
Canadian Percheron Assn. #22201
~DECEASED~

The Percheron breed horses can be a bit tougher to start the than the Clydesdale, Belgian, Suffolk, or Fjords. They are very intelligent and upon maturity, tend to be sweet and calm. However, the first two years can be a bit more difficult.

Clear Creek's Bobbie  produced strong, big-boned foals. His foals show a tendency to inherit  his extra size. However, they are very slow to mature, and many of his foals really sprout up in their third year. They are a nice smaller birth size for the smaller mares but they do tend to keep growing! Average height on his foals is 15.3 hands to 16.2 when crossed with a smaller mare. He had great, strong, black feet.

Bobbie passed away quickly and quietly here in 2004. We were glad he had a chance to be with us for his final days instead of a feedlot in Canada.

"SUMMER ICE"
1996 Black Tobiano Registered Paint Horse, 15.0 hands high
APHA #339,267
~SOLD~

Nice, calm, quiet, gentle, friendly disposition! I have walked out into his band of mares, haltered him and lead him back to the barn away from his mares and his has been a perfect gentleman. A gentleman with his mares, too.

His get seem to be calm and quiet, and make nice saddle horses.

Summer tends to throw a lot of roan color into his paint foals.

"PALOFILE"
Purebred Grade Palomino Quarter Horse, 15.0 hands
~DECEASED~

We call him, "Palo." This sire has a very nice attitude. very gentle, very sweet and kind! His foals tend to have nice dispositions.

He passes on beautiful conformation, time after time. When crossed with the plainest mare he will throw nice, refined heads, good legs, and lots of palomino color.

A ranch favorite are his Palomino/Belgian Cross foals! They are so sweet and easy they make us all look good. Most of his foals are what we call the ideal "Versatile Horse," as steady as they are sturdy.

In the past we have not sold his colts, because they are so desirable in our operation.  This year, we have more of his foals than usual, and are able to offer some of them for sale.

  "BIG BROWNIE"
Registered Clydesdale
Brown and White
17.0 hands high
~DECEASED~

This big guy produced foals that were quiet , big, gentle, and that had very good attitudes. Not quite the fire that the black Clydesdale shows, but a sweet, curious, "in-your-pocket" kind of horse. They often were decent jumpers, as well.

These foals have shown great potential to drive and jump! At times they may be mistakenly considered slow, because they are slow to mature mentally and physically, They really show their stuff in their third year and then they excel in their tasks.

He came down with us from Alberta and had many happy years on the range, producing foals and safe from an end at the slaughterhouse. He died of natural causes at an old age.

"VERN"
Registered Suffolk Punch
Flaxen Chestnut and White
16.2 hands high
~SOLD~

This stallion was sold, but we still have a few of his foals. They are large and sweet natured and have been a great asset for our guest ride programs.

The Suffolk are known for their gentle demeanor, they are a clean legged draft with little to no feathering on the feet, often mistaken for the Belgian. They are always some shade of chestnut, in coloring. Great all around horses!

  "OSWALD"
1984 White Dun Fjord
Canadian Fjord Horse Assn. Reg. #-321-(6300512)
~SOLD~

This stallion was sold so we do not have many of his foals left. They are cute, chunky and smart, and they have proven to be great guest horses for trail and driving.

  "SKEDADDLE RED"
Red Roan Quarter Horse
~SOLD~

Has same bloodlines as Skedaddle N Sparks, which includes Three Chicks, Peppy, Joe Hancock, and Cowboy. He is bred for cow work and is very quick. He was sold because he was not a good citizen in our stud herd. The other boys get along together fine, but he was too aggressive. His foals are not aggressive foals; this was just a stud that wanted all the gals to himself!
